Indian team selection for West Indies tour 2019

The Indian team schedule is ready for the West Indies tour in next month. This is the first tour of team India after World Cup 2019. The announcement for selection of the Indian team for this tour is revealed. The team will bselected for the West Indies tour on 21 July, Sunday. Team India will start the West Indies tour from August 3. India have to play three T20 Internationals, three ODIs and two Test matches during the West Indies tour.

After the defeat in the World Cup, the middle order of the Indian team will change. Youngster's may get chance in the team, BCCI will announce final fifteen of Indian team after the Sunday, July 21 for West Indies tour.

The wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be in team or not for West Indies tour is not clear. After the defeat from New Zealand in the World Cup 2019 semi-finals, it was expected that MS Dhoni would retire. But, none of the actual information come up from BCCI or Dhoni. We have no idea about what was happened between Dhoni and BCCI. 

Dhoni is one of the experienced player of all time, that's why he had a tag of captain cool. He has done well in the cup, only he can decide what to do next.

An information come up from BCCI towards selection, "There will be a meeting of selectors in Mumbai on Sunday, July 21 for West Indies tour". It is expected that Indian captain Virat Kohli and fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah can be rested from the T20 and ODI series. Virat Kohli and Jaspreet Bumrah will be available for the series of two Test matches starting August 22, as these Test series is a part of the ICC Test Championship.

There is no official information about Shikhar Dhawan's injury, which was hit during the match against Australia in World Cup 2019. It will be expecting that team will continue his rest and instead of him Mayank Aggarwal or KL Rahul can be sent as an opener with Rohit Sharma on West Indies tour. On the other hand, youngster's will get the chance to play on the replacement of some players those are on rest for the West Indies tour. Rahane and Ashwin will return for the Test sereies whereas Dinesh Karthik reserves wicket-keeper in ODI's and Tests can be in the team.

  • Shreyas Iyer and Shubhaman Gill: To manage the middle order of team these two may get chance for West Indies tour. An amazing captaincy of Delhi Daredevils in IPL 2019 by Shreyas Iyer will help him to get the chance in the team for West Indies tour whereas the massive performance of Shubhaman Gill in IPL 2019 for the Kolkata Knight Riders will also help him to get the chance in team for the West Indies tour.
  • Rishabh Pant and Ishaan Kishan: In the absence of Dhoni, Rishabh Pant will play the responsibility of wicket-keeping and along with it other wicket-keeper, Ishaan Kishan can  also get a chance in the team. Rishabh Pant also played World Cup 2019 for India, so may for sure he will be in the final fifteen. 
  • Navdeep Saini and Khaleel Ahmed: Let's Talk about fast bowlers instead of Jaspreet Bumrah, then Navdeep Saini or Khaleel Ahmed can make a place in the team. Saini was also with Team India during the World Cup 2019. On the other hand, the wicket taker for Sunrises Hyderabad in IPL 2019, Khaleel Ahmed will also get the chance for West Indies tour.
